It is formed when water brings minerals onto a rock's surface. As the water evaporates and cools the minerals are left behind and slowly build up to form crystals. The special part is that there are many different types of druzies due to the large composition of minerals that collect on the crystal, creating tiny crystalline cells that resemble sugar and have the ability to refract light, illuminating the piece through its incredible sparkle. They can be just about any colour but these Snow Druzy Agates are snow white and absolutely gorgeous.
Agate also occurs in many different varieties and colours but in this instance all pieces are white. The stones are often banded in layers and are part of the chalcedony family of crystals.
