  • WHAT IS SPINAL ENERGETICS?
    Put simply, Spinal Energetics is an energetic healing technique. Spinal Energetics is a healing modality that was developed by Dr. Sarah Jane, and inspired by various energetic modalities and eastern traditions. It is a combination of philosophy and science. The techniques involved, function to unwind and release unwanted, stored, stagnant energy within the body, in the form of tension, pain, unprocessed emotions, and trauma. With the release of this unwanted energy, we free space. We forgive, we let go, we heal, and we move forward in life.
  • HOW DOES SPINAL ENERGETICS WORK?
    Through gentle but precise touch to the physical and energetic access points of the body, we are able to stimulate communication within the nervous system and energetic field. Ultimately, we are working with the body's innate wisdom and strengthening its connection to self and overall life-force energy.
  • WHAT INFLUENCED THE BIRTH OF SPINAL ENERGETICS?
    Various modalities, such as Network Spinal, Kundalini Activation Process, Alpha Alignment, Shamanism, Inner Dance, Reiki, Esoteric Acupuncture, Craniosacral Therapy, Transpersonal Psychotherapy, and Pranayama. With the incorporation of philosophies inspired by Eastern thought, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Chinese Medicine, Yogic and Meditative traditions. This rich tapestry of practices and philosophies was woven together to birth a holistic approach that addresses not only the physical but also the energetic and spiritual dimensions of well-being.

    Spinal Energetics aims to leverage the best of both worlds. It recognises the profound wisdom of Eastern traditions (body, mind, soul) in understanding energy flow and the holistic nature of well-being while simultaneously, appreciating the scientific applicability of Western approaches (human body structures and functions). This blend allows for a more layered and effective method of addressing both the energetic and physical aspects of an individual's well-being.
  • WHO IS SPINAL ENERGETICS FOR?
    Spinal Energetics is very unique in its technique, but it is for almost everyone. Energy is transferable and at our core, we are pure energy stored in mass particle form. We're working within the realm of physics. Clients attend for an array of reasons but most are seeking freedom from past hurt, pain, and emotional trauma. Many desire to uncover/rediscover their authentic self and reconnect to self, mind, body, and soul. Others attend for physical relief from recurring headaches, migraines, neck, back, hip, and leg pain/tension/numbness. Even stress, anxiety, fatigue/burnout, and poor sleep/insomnia.
  • WHO IS IT NOT FOR?
    Spinal Energetics is not suitable for those: Under 12 Pregnant Detached Retina or Glaucoma Recent physical injuries, fractures, or surgeries High Blood Pressure (that is not controlled with medication) Recent Cardiovascular conditions (Angina, Heart Attack/s, or Stroke/s) Diagnosis of an Aneurysm in the brain or abdomen Epilepsy/Seizures Prior diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Multiple Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia, or previous psychiatric conditions Hospitalisation for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the last 12 months Psychosis, Panic Disorder or very severe cases of Depression/Anxiety Any other medical, psychiatric, or physical conditions which would impair or affect your ability to engage in any activities that involve physical and/or emotional releases
  • WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO CHANGE?
    This holistic modality holds space for deep energetic healing and transformation, focusing on aligning all areas of the human experience; matter to body, body to mind, mind to soul, soul to spirit. Consequently, easing stored physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and soul trauma, resistance, and tension.
  • DOES SPINAL ENERGETICS HURT?
    No, it doesn't hurt. Sometimes what you can feel is a build-up of energy that wants to move or be released from the body. If you resist its release, then it can feel like a big emotion coming to the surface, similar to what you experience in your day-to-day life interacting with friends, family, customers, etc. It's also not uncommon for people to feel an area of their body change temperature.
  • WHAT DOES SPINAL ENERGETICS FEEL LIKE?
    Clients will have varying descriptions of the sensations experienced during and after a Spinal Energetics session. This is because each session is personalised to your very own unique energy field, your body's nervous system patterning, and your own personal intention for the session. Often clients report feeling a sense of deep relaxation, lightness, ease, embodiment, and clarity, while others describe feeling a release of tension, discomfort, and cathartic emotional releases. It's common for some clients to feel a warming or cooling sensation in some areas, while others feel tingling and twitching sensations. It's also common for clients to feel called to shift and move their body into different positions to help shift the energy up or down the body as they become more and more connected and comfortable within their energy and vulnerabilities. It's also common for some clients to experience temporary discomfort or soreness after a session (similar to that of an exercise session), but this is generally mild and subsides fairly quickly with adequate rest, hydration, and light stretching.
  • WHAT IF I DON'T FEEL ANYTHING?
    Those unfamiliar with energy work, typically very protective of their energy/time, or those lacking a strong mind/body connection tend to feel less pronounced benefits to begin with (i.e., movement, twitching, tingling, shaking etc) however, this doesn't indicate a lack of impact instead, it simply highlights the first step in connection –the self-awareness phase. As we know, people have varied sensitivities to energy so the benefits can manifest and be felt differently for everyone. To enhance energy connection, consider incorporating practices like meditation, felt sense meditations, breathwork, yoga, or participating in group sessions. The integration of the energy worked on during the session could unfold gradually, subtly influencing your well-being in the hours or days that follow. These effects might manifest in shifts in mood, energy levels, or changes in perspective.
  • HOW DO CLIENTS FEEL AFTER A SPINAL ENERGETIC SESSION?
    It's possible for clients to experience different symptoms or sensations after a spinal energetic session, depending on their individual circumstances and what was addressed during the session. Some clients may experience a feeling of lightness or relief from physical or emotional pain, while others may experience temporary discomfort or soreness as their body readjusts to the changes made during the session. It's also possible for clients to experience an emotional release or feel more connected to their body and emotions after a session. Some clients may report feeling more grounded, centred, and relaxed, while others may feel more energised and focused. In general, it's important for clients to listen to their body and take care of themselves after a session as their overall energy sensitivity and self-awareness may have increased significantly. This may include getting quality rest and sleep, staying hydrated, and avoiding big crowds, caffeine, stimulants and strenuous physical activity.
  • WILL CLIENTS EXPERIENCE THE SAME FEELINGS AND RESULTS IN EVERY SPINAL ENERGETICS SESSION?
    No, every session in spinal energetics is unique and tailored to the client's needs. The practitioner will work with the client's energetic field and adjust each session accordingly to address any imbalances or blockages that may be present, whilst also monitoring what the client is willing to process consciously and subconsciously on each energetic level. The client may experience different sensations and movements in each session as their energetic field is continuously shifting and evolving. The practitioner may also utilise different techniques and tools based on the client's specific needs and preferences.
  • HOW SHOULD CLIENTS SUPPORT THEIR BODY, MIND, AND SOUL BEFORE AND AFTER A SPINAL ENERGETIC SESSION?
    Clients can support their body, mind, and soul before and after a Spinal Energetic session in several ways, including: Hydration: It is important to drink plenty of water before and after a session as water carries an energetic frequency that supports the body's innate processing. Relaxation: It is essential to be in a calm and relaxed state of mind before and after the session. This can be achieved through meditation, deep breathing, or any other relaxation techniques. Nutrition: Nourishing foods can help support the body's natural healing processes and eliminate waste. Movement: Gentle movement, such as yoga or stretching, can help support the body and promote circulation (energy flow). Self-care and Grounding: This can include taking a bath, breathwork, journaling, or spending time in nature.
  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO INTEGRATE THE CHANGES FROM A SPINAL ENERGETICS SESSION?
    As with anything, integration can vary from person to person. It's a unique and individualised process influenced by factors such as your sensitivity to energy, current state of well-being, and personal circumstances. Some individuals may feel immediate shifts, while for others, the integration might unfold more gradually over 2-4 days. It's essential to listen to your body, be patient with the process, and allow the energies to settle and harmonise at their own pace –trust your body.
  • HOW AND WHY DO CLIENTS MOVE, AND ARE THE MOVEMENTS VOLUNTARY OR INVOLUNTARY?
    Every individual reacts differently to Spinal Energetics. While some may move more or less during the first session, others may take longer or not move at all. However, the amount of movement is not directly proportional to the benefits gained from the session. The movements are both voluntary and involuntary, happening in response to tension release, with varying degrees of intensity depending on the client's needs. The goal is to bring balance and harmony to the body, but clients always have control over the movements. The movements can also help release stored physical and emotional tension. Practitioners guide clients through the process to ensure safety and comfort. Clients may experience relaxation, pain reduction, and improved well-being after the session. Spinal energetics improves circulation and promotes healing.
  • DOES EVERYONE MOVE LIKE THEY DO IN YOUR VIDEOS?
    First-timers don't often move much at all, but again, it depends on their own unique energetic make-up and their own personal life experiences. Instead, you'll see twitching, breath, and small movements. Spinal Energetic is essentially a language. The body is learning to communicate with the energy. So just like anything, it takes time for the body to learn, understand and integrate. However, the actual movements aren't a reflection of the healing. Just like some people are introverts or extroverts, so can be their healing expression. The movements you see, come naturally as people give themselves permission to listen to their body and ebb and flow with the energy 'shifting course'.
  • WHY DO SOME CLIENTS EXPRESS VOCALLY, AND OTHERS DON’T MOVE AT ALL?
    The movements and sounds are natural and primordial, they are a response to the treatment and are driven by the individual's own intuition and instinct.
  • HOW LONG DOES A SESSION TYPICALLY RUN FOR?
    Each session runs for roughly 1 hour depending on what you have booked. Gentle breathwork and meditation are utilised at the start of each session. This will assist with calming the mind and getting you into your body, bringing awareness to any energetic sensations felt from the Spinal Energetics techniques.
  • IS ONE SESSION ENOUGH?
    Your desired outcomes, whether centred around alleviating physical discomfort, emotional healing, or spiritual advancement, will influence the suggested frequency of sessions. For persistent pain or intricate challenges, particularly those entwined with trauma or emotional distress, a more comprehensive exploration is often essential. Delving beyond surface-level concerns, this extended journey allows for a gradual and profound release of emotional burdens, addressing the intricate layers of discomfort and fostering a transformative healing process.
  • HOW MANY SESSIONS DO CLIENTS TYPICALLY NEED OF SPINAL ENERGETICS?
    The number of sessions a client may need for spinal energetics can vary depending on their individual needs and goals. Some people may experience significant improvements after just one session, while others may benefit from multiple sessions to address deeper or more complex issues. The practitioner may work with the client to create a personalised treatment plan based on their specific needs and goals. It's also important for clients to continue to take care of their overall health and wellbeing outside of their session/s, which may include exercise, nourishing foods, quality sleep, stress management, and any other self-care practices that support their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.
  • HOW LONG SHOULD I LEAVE BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS?
    The recommended time between Spinal Energetics sessions can vary based on individual needs, the nature of the issues being addressed, and the progress made. Generally, spacing sessions 1 to 2 weeks apart initially can allow for sufficient integration of the energetic shifts and provide time for the body to adapt. However, the frequency may be adjusted based on the client's response and the practitioner's assessment. As progress is made, sessions might become less frequent, transitioning to a maintenance schedule. It's essential to communicate openly with your practitioner to tailor the session frequency to your unique healing journey.
  • WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SPINAL ENERGETICS?
    As you're aware, spinal energetics can be done both in-person and online, but there are some differences between the two: In-person sessions allow the practitioner to physically touch and interact with the client's body, which can help facilitate a deeper release of tension and energy blockages, especially within the physical layer. The practitioner can also observe the client's movements and body language more closely, which can provide additional insight into the client's needs. On the other hand, online sessions where the practitioner may not be able to physically touch the client, they can still guide the client through movements and provide verbal cues to help release tension and energy blockages. Online sessions can be more convenient for clients who may not have access to in-person practitioners or who prefer the comfort of their own home. Ultimately, the effectiveness of spinal energetics depends on the individual client's needs and preferences, and both in-person and online sessions can be beneficial.
  • HOW DOES THE ENERGY WORK IN AN ONLINE SPINAL ENERGETIC SESSION, AND HOW CAN THE ENERGY REACH A CLIENT THAT'S ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD?
    In an online spinal energetic session, the practitioner and client connect through a video conferencing app called Zoom (https://zoom.us ). The practitioner will guide the client through the session, just as they would in an in-person session. Although the client and practitioner may be physically located in different parts of the world, energy is not limited by physical distance. The energy used in spinal energetics is not bound by space or time and can be transmitted and received through intention and visualisation. Energy can go anywhere. Energy is infinite. Energy is transferable. The practitioner may use different techniques to connect with the client's energy field and guide the energy flow remotely. The client may also be guided to use intention and visualisation techniques to help focus their own energy towards the healing process. While some people may prefer the physical presence of a practitioner, online sessions can be just as effective and offer the convenience of receiving healing from the comfort of one's own home without the stress of social anxiety, travel, organising a babysitter, etc.
  • HOW SHOULD A CLIENT SET UP THEIR SPACE FOR AN ONLINE SPINAL ENERGETICS SESSION?
    Choose a quiet and private room where you won't be disturbed during the session (pets included). You can use your bed, massage bed, or yoga mat. You are also welcome to have a blanket available. Feel free to add anything to your room that would contribute to a serene environment such as essential oils, crystals, etc. Ensure the room you choose is well-lit so I can see you clearly. You can use an eye mask to block out the light if needed. Check your internet connection to ensure a stable and smooth online experience. Test your microphone and speakers to ensure clear communication. Some clients prefer using headphones or a quality speaker to enhance the audio quality of the session without external distractions. Position your webcam in a way that I can see you clearly from head to toe (lying horizontally). Arrive 5-10 minutes early to your session time so you can be relaxed and have time to set a positive intention for your healing session.
